Today I wanted to give you a tour of my guest bedroom.
I had these furniture pieces that didn’t fit in the other bedrooms so they all had to come together for the guest room.
This door is from the house that my 92-year-old mom grew up in.
It’s solid and heavy so I just propped it on the floor without hanging it on the wall.
I didn’t touch up any paint because the chippy paint adds to it’s character and age.
The burlap wreath goes perfect with it’s rustic appearance.
The wreath is so easy to create, you can see how I made it, HERE.
No room in my house is immune from Milk Glass.
These three Hobnail pieces work perfectly with the new white vase from Home Goods.
The wood and metal tray is from Goodwill.
This antique dress is another solid piece of furniture. I’m still on the lookout for two drawer pulls to match with the others.
I use the frame to decorate around the house so who knows how long it will stay here.
The frame came from the house I grew up in and is over 60 years old.
I’ll put Milk Glass anywhere I can so when I had these shelves in my storage closet I thought they’d be perfect for a small display.
Both of these pieces are from Goodwill, I just spray painted the shelf and added the crystals for some interest.
The oak twin beds were painted gray and then I added some simple white bedding.
These comforters and shams are from Target.
I love the crispness they add to the room.
It’s a hodge podge of pieces but I think it all works.
This table is another antique piece my mom gave me years ago.
It’s perfect as a nightstand.
Here’s a good look at the beds and the table.
The room is peaceful and comfortable, what more could a guest want?

Gorgeous! I’m a new follower of your blog and a fellow Goodwill frequenter. I love all of your milk glass, I managed to find 2 milk glass vases at our Goodwill outlet, a good scrub and they are good as new! I collect unique teapots, vintage pyrex, and fire king mugs so you can imagine that I head straight to the housewares sections when I hit our local stores =) Following, and looking forward to reading more!

Hi Johanna, Thanks for the nice note. I’m going to stop on over to your blog! Maybe I’m going to have to add unique teapots to my list of collectables, great idea! – Lisa

Just joined your blog because of the burlap wreath on Hometalk – what a really neat idea! Going to tour your site and see what else I can use.
