Eve and Woodland Creatures

This season for fall, owls, wood and moss are just a few things in which chose to decorate Eve, my hutch from Goodwill.

First, to add some color and texture to the display, I used some woods themed scrapbook paper and attached it to the backdrop. This helped me come up with color and texture ideas for the display.

I gathered various owls from around my house along with any woodland creatures, fake moss and even grass and branches from my back yard, to create a woodland scene.

 

Using a slice of wood and a wooden candle holder, I made a rustic stand to display owl cupcakes, made by my 11-year-old daughter. I found them on Pinterest and they are super simple to make and quite tasty too.
With the exception of the sheet of moss on the bottom shelf, I had everything else either on the shelves in my home or in my supply lair. It would probably be easier to tell you the items which didn’t come from Goodwill.
