On my yearly Girls Trip with 11 of my closest friends (HERE), we have themed dinner nights. In the past, we’ve had Fiesta Night, with Mexican food and music, an evening eating sushi with Japanese decor to match, called Sushi to the Max, and also a Hawaiian night, Wahinis Gone Wild, just to name a few. This year, our coordinator, Sheila, came up with a Pinterest inspired theme. Prior to our trip, we were put into teams of 3 for a progressive evening, dining on appetizers. The teams were to provide an appetizer and beverage for the group, setting up a display was optional.

My group decided on a Caprese salad with grilled crostini and a crisp Sangria to compliment it. Since we had the amazing Sedona red rocks as our landscape, we decided to take our guests to the hills of Tuscany.

Using a wooden bench from inside the home, we set up a rustic table, using items from Goodwill, at the end of a bocci ball court.

We used my huge Goodwill hurricane, loaded with peaches, oranges, apples and more, from Goodwill for the sangria, and my friend Vicki provided the Pinterest inspired wine glasses. The glasses were dipped in chalkboard paint so we could write each guests name in chalk. Everyone could find their wine glass and we had no MIA wine charms. Genius!

Night time arrived, and among the candlelight votives placed in the desert landscape, we all sat in benches and chairs, listened to Italian music, sipped Sangria, and savored a peaceful evening with friends. Perfecto!
