Last week I went thrifting to Goodwill with two new friends, Lynda and Sarah These lovely ladies wrote about our shopping trip to Redesign by Goodwill, in Scottsdale, Arizona on their blog, Focal Point and Sarah Elizabeth Home.
One of my favorite finds from that day is this small gold tray by George Briard. It was $3.99 with some minor nicks and scratches but nothing a piece of scrapbook paper wouldn’t cover up. Which, by the way, was a suggestion from Lynda.
Shopping with these ladies was just divine. Interior design is their specialty and I could listen to them talk design boards all day. When it came to my gold tray, they were especially enthusiastic about it’s corners, as only interior designers paying attention to every detail could be.
So here’s my tray as it sits on the living room coffee table. While I’m no interior designer, I did my best to style the tray with some books from Goodwill Dollar Day and an awesome paper weight, yes, that too is from Goodwill, to look simple yet pretty.
Goodwill, it’s a great place to channel your inner designer,
