Just when I thought I had sang all the praises for Goodwill that I could possible sing, I’m singing once again.

Flashback to Monday when I stopped by Goodwill to see their new merchandise when I spotted this Michael Kors sports coat for $9.99.

My son is a hockey player and on game day is required to dress in his Sunday best and since he continues to grow, I continue to shop for suit coats at Goodwill. If you have shopped retail for a sports coat, I don’t have to tell you how expensive they can be.

I brought the coat home for him to examine and it fit perfectly. Even better, he gave it a thumbs up. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Now, Tuesday comes and I found myself with my son passing through Macy’s, out of curiosity I make a slight detour to the men’s department. There, in the suits, is the same jacket as my Goodwill find for exactly $110 more than I paid. Same jacket. Even my son, who’s a mellow guy with few words, said “good job, mom.”

In my excitement I might have thrown out a “who’s your momma now”, to which I got an eye roll, but one can never be sure, when they’re leaping through a store.
