Entertaining with Goodwill: Fabulous at Fifty Party, the making of a lounge area.

I really don’t like to buy paper party products at party stores, I’m programmed to get more use of items than just using them once. When I shop Goodwill, I can use the decor again and again and change items up when the next party comes along. It’s all about cost per use.

I shopped Goodwill for party decorations for my friend’s Fabulous at Fifty party and found a way to re-purpose two brass chandeliers to glam up a lounge and bar area. Be sure to take a good look at the crystals on the black chandelier. Those are shower hooks with crystals! I simply covered the tops of hooks with a hot pink boa and it was my little secret, well, until now.

Buy one brassy chandelier from Goodwill.

Remove the wiring.

Spray paint it white or the color of your choice.

Add a boa (another Goodwill buy) and/or crystals.

Place battery operated votives on top and hang.

Instant Glamour! It’s that easy.
