This week, I showed you how I plan on conquering the piles of paper on my desk with an inexpensive, yet very sturdy, filing cabinet from Goodwill of Central Arizona. In 2012, thanks to Goodwill, I have high hopes that my kitchen counter will stay free of cell phones, coins, gum and receipts with this $2.99 charging station.
Today, I’m taking you to the vanity in my master bathroom. For me, this is one area that has to stay organized on a daily basis. When time is limited, I need to be able to find items in a jiffy, especially my makeup brushes.
The shelves at Goodwill are packed with affordable container options to keep makeup brushes, lipstick or cotton balls organized. I search for small sugar bowls and creamers to hold small objects in their place. I’m a magnet to shiny objects and always walk away with the silver containers! My containers were .69 each. How can I say no to that?
On my husband’s side of the sink, I keep his mouthwash in a pretty little vinegar container. I refill it every week, but it’s the price I’ll pay rather than seeing a big plastic jug of mouthwash on the counter. I’m sure he would be perfectly fine with the jug, but let’s be honest, I need pretty.
If your goal in 2012 is to save money and get your home organized, I mean, who isn’t, follow me on my Goodwill journey where I’ll share my tips, so you won’t have to compromise style at the expense of your pocket book!
