Going on a cruise? Need an outfit for a special occasion? Take some advice from Sheila…

Dear Goodwill Gal,

I wanted to share a recent shopping success story with you!

This past November my family went on a Thanksgiving cruise to the Mexican Riviera.

Having been on a cruise before, I knew that I needed to expand my wardrobe with fashionable attire to accommodate the many outfit changes per day. I paid a visit to the Goodwill on Scottsdale Road and started to comb the racks for nautical/fashionable attire.

I was pleased when I came across this strapless blue and yellow striped maxi dress ($6.99). Off to the dressing room I went and it was a perfect fit!

I also know that the weather can be a bit unpredictable and often chilly on deck, so I perused the jacket rack and found not one, but two zip hoodies that matched perfectly ($3.99 each)! One was a nautical blue with white trim and the other a plain cotton white hoodie, sure to go with many more items in my wardrobe.

To top it off, I took a jaunt by the shoe area and found a very gently used pair of white leather tennis shoes by Cherokee ($4.99), I wore these with the blue striped maxi for a casual ”day at sea” look and many more times throughout the trip .

I will continue to look to Goodwill to help me expand my wardrobe, no matter what the occasion!!
