Welcome to my House of Goodwill.
Today I’m taking you into my living room. Let’s take a look at what’s on the coffee table.
When it comes to decor, I love to mix vintage pieces with my contemporary style. Some of those vintage pieces include candy dishes. When it comes to silver candy dishes, I find it very hard to walk away from them at Goodwill, especially when they cost less than five dollars a piece. The silver adds sparkle and shine to my living and because they are unbreakable, I don’t have to worry about my peeps breaking them if they happen to get crazy! It’s real life in our home and nothing is off limits.
Now, let’s talk coffee table books. Along with my silver candy dishes, I’ve added some nice coffee table books. I love the sophisticated look they give to a coffee table but I’m not about to pay the exorbitant price just to have one sit on my table! Now you know I’m going to say I buy them at Goodwill, but did you know I was going to say I buy them on Dollar Day? When I bring a book home, I simply take the paper jacket off and underneath lies a perfectly flawless linen cover in shades to match my living room decor. I haven’t discovered the fountain of youth but I always stand amazed at my uncovering for one dollar!
I’m slowly decorating my home for the winter season and I replaced the green apples with silver ornaments and bells on one dish and added some of my favorite holiday candies, chewy peppermints, to the other.
What do you think? It’s simple and affordable decor from Goodwill, which is my style all the way.
