The temperature was a little chilly this morning in Arizona and that’s fine with me, It’s the perfect time to enjoy a little hot chocolate with family and friends.

I set up this hot chocolate bar with items from Goodwill. I added some fun treats for everyone to dip and snack on as they come in from the chilly weather.

Pottery Barn mugs and stirrers, glasses, tablecloths and even the Calphalon tea kettle was purchased over the years from Goodwill. On this day, I decided to go with a red and white theme so I pulled everything I was going to use out of my cabinets and what I didn’t have, like the red tablecloth, I picked up immediately at Goodwill. Well, it’s not really a tablecloth, it’s a felt tree skirt but doubles perfectly as a tablecloth, don’t you think? Sometimes you have to re-purpose items to go with your plan.

Nothing fancy and not many matchy items here, just everyday items I’ve jazzed up with some gingerbread cookies, candy canes and tons of marshmallows!

Now, everyone will come in from the cold and warm up at my hot chocolate bar and all will be right with the world. Well, at least for an hour or two.
