From Good(will) to Gorgeous…
Guests who step into my kitchen are greeted by this vignette on the kitchen island.
The tall red glass decanter is a Goodwill purchase from last December. The tray, another Goodwill find, was new with tags and set me back $6, but the best part, in my opinion, of the entire vignette, is the Santa water pitcher.
I purchased the water pitcher on a day when everything with an orange tag was half-off, so Santa came in at $2.50.
Guests who stop by my home, have been immediately drawn to my Santa pitcher and of course, I, being The Goodwill Gal, openly share the price and all the details.
If you plan on attending a festive party or dinner, I suggest stopping at Goodwill and finding a unique container, such as a water pitcher, ceramic or glass vase, even a rustic bucket, to slip a potted plant in. Your host/hostess will enjoy the pretty plant now and the pitcher or container in the months or years to come. Even if it’s not new, perhaps it’s even vintage, I know my guests wouldn’t mind receiving this jolly fellow at their party. Would you?
