It’s time now for my weekly column, “Don’t Shoe Know It!”
If you haven’t stepped into the shoe aisles at Goodwill, you just don’t know what you’ve been missing.
I’ve acquired quite a shoe collection from Goodwill and I will be featuring one pair from my closet every week just to show you how you too can step it up in your shoe department.
Designer labels, boots, heels, flats, I’ve got them. Before I get things started, let me just say, I love shoes!
Look what I stepped into: Slouchy leather wedge boots from Goodwill.
Whether I was stepping out to shop at The Reserve while on my Goodwill Tour in Omaha, Nebraska (more about that visit later) or back at home in Arizona, shopping with my girlfriends, these boots for $8.99 kept me a step ahead!
They are soft, supple and super comfortable. With a little polishing they were as good as new. The boots were marked for $8.99 and since I don’t go to my local Arizona Goodwill Stores without my coupon, I paid $7.19. Maybe this now explains my obsession with shoes from Goodwill? Great selection and low prices, yes please.
Now, here’s a way I keep my investment well maintained. I stand the boots on a shelf in my closet by rolling up a magazine and placing it inside. They don’t get any creases and I can get a good look at my collection of boots. I’m sure my “collection” is not the size of say, someone like Oprah, but with Goodwill on my side, I’m working on it!
Don’t shoe wish these were yours?
