Repurposed Barn Wood – Meat and Cheese Rustic Serving Piece

May 31, 2017 By TheGoodwillGal 2 Comments

I love repurposing items, both new and old,  in my home and in my newest YouTube video I share how I use an old piece of barn wood from my childhood home in Colorado and use it to display meats and cheeses for when I have guests.  My guests are always ‘wowed’ by the wood the and way the food is displayed, some of my friends have even borrowed the wood for their parties, so I thought I’d share how I use it in my home.

This is how I use the wood for a centerpiece on the kitchen island.  All I had to do to prep for guests was removed the Mason Jars and slide the board to the end of the island!  How is that for simple?

In case  you missed it, you can watch the floral centerpiece video here: Barn Wood Floral Centerpiece

Please let me know if you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you!

‘till next time,

Lisa

Love this set up! I must find a piece of barn wood! Thanks for sharing your great ideas:) I’m also in Az and from Colorado. I live in Montrose and also here in Phx. After watching your youtube videos I am thinking I need to start a milk glass collection haha! I collect iron stone dishes and Starbucks coffee mugs among many other things. If your ever in the Ahwatukee area, the Goodwill on Chandler & 32nd is pretty amazing. But…you probably already know that.

Very cool! I’m from the San Luis Valley, near Alamosa and go back every summer. I also went to school at Western State College before I moved to ASU! I love hearing from people from my home state! ~Lisa
