Burlap Stocking from Goodwill

November 30, 2012 By TheGoodwillGal

Christmas 2012
Christmas 2011

Last year I jazzed up these two burlap Christmas stockings from Goodwill with some floral lapel pins.  They were the perfect addition to my glitz and glamour winter decor theme.

This year, my winter/holiday decor theme is rustic and simple. The burlap fabric made it very easy to incorporate them both into my decor.

I have an old window screen from my childhood home hanging in a small hallway downstairs. Throughout the year I clip old photos, kid’s artwork, and fall leaves to it. Pretty much whatever I can get my hands on. This season it is providing the perfect backdrop for my Goodwill finds. I filled the two stockings with some faux berries and that’s it. Rustic and simple.

I always love to make new changes to old decor, It’s a nice way to change things up without spending a lot of money. Do you find new ways to use your decorations year after year?

’till next time,

The Goodwill Gal
